Margaret River is located in the far south-west corner of Western Australia and is home to over two hundred wineries. It’s surrounded by the ocean on three sides, giving it a strong maritime climate that provides ideal growing conditions. Further enhanced by a Mediterranean style climate in terms of rainfall, the region is unaffected by extreme summer and winter temperatures, resulting in high quality fruit of intense flavour. Known as a fine wine region, Margaret River is highly regarded for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet blends, but also has a reputation for stand out Chardonnays and Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc blends. The region produces 20% of Australia’s premium wine and is also internationally recognised as one of the premium wine producing regions of the world.
