This amazing value duo pack provides you with a unique opportunity to have a mini vertical tasting at the comfort of your home, compare two different vintages and see how climate influences the wine first hand.

Both wines are elegant and juicy. 2019 expresses blackberries, plums and liquorice, finished with fine velvety tannins. While the 2020 vintage is more savoury and spicy.

Beklyn Shiraz 2019:

This wine displays lifted notes of ripe berry fruits and subtle French oak nuances on the nose, a full-bodied palate of blackberries, plums and liquorice, finished with fine velvety tannins. 

Winemaking notes:

On the 13th March 2019, the grapes were harvested and crushed to static temperature-controlled fermenters, gentle pump-overs to keep the skins moist and extract colour during primary ferment yielded its vibrant deep red hue while maintaining all of its fruit flavours.

Malolactic ferment takes place softening the wine whilst over a period of 12 months French oak adds complexity. Handling of the wine and filtration is kept to a minimum, allowing it to develop at its own pace and reducing sulphur input. An aroma that is a blend of berries and spice with a soft oak influence can be accredited to quality fruit and the measured use of oak. Lastly, a full-bodied palate that fills the mouth with savoury flavours and finishes with fine tannins and a hint of spice. Cellaring potential 7 + years.

An aroma that is a blend of berries and spice with a soft oak influence can be accredited to quality fruit and the measured use of oak. Lastly, a full-bodied palate that fills the mouth with savoury flavours and finishes with fine tannins and a hint of spice. 

Winemaking notes:

Harvested on the 14th of March 2020 the grapes were crushed to a temperature-controlled fermenter. Fermented for 10 days the juice was gently pumped over the skins to keep them moist and extract colour. The resulting wine exhibits a deep red hue and maintains its rich fruit flavour.

Malolactic ferment takes place softening the wine whilst over the next 12 months French and American oak adds complexity. Handling of the wine and filtration is kept to a minimum, allowing it to develop at its own pace and reducing sulphur input. This wine will cellar for 5-10 years.
